    Randolph Georgieff leads DC3’s FX – Digital Forensic Intelligence (DFI) unit, which supports the DC3’s mission to set standards for digital evidence processing, analysis, and diagnostics for any DoD investigation that requires computer forensic support to detect, enhance, or recover digital media, including audio and video. Further Mr. Georgieff looks at new computer technologies and techniques for testing, and evaluation as applied to digital evidence processing and computer forensic analysis.
    He additionally leads the DC3 Technical Advisory Group (TAG) that assembled the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Digital Forensic Challenges.

    Previously, Mr. Georgieff worked as a police officer in law enforcement for twenty-one and a half years; the last eight years as a Detective and computer forensic examiner.

    Mr. Georgieff was a computer forensic examiner at the DC3 Defense Computer Forensic Lab (DCFL) for four years, and prior to that taught forensic courses at the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DCITA), as well as courses for the police department and public schools adult evening education offerings.

    Mr. Georgieff was involved for five or six years in the Regional Computer Forensic Group (RCFG) and the presentation of the George Mason University (GMU) week-long Computer Forensic Processing Conferences held by RCFG annually at GMU.

    Mr. Georgieff holds an AA Degree in Criminal Justice, and has numerous course certifications in forensic software, computer forensic processing, and similar course presentations.
